Application Fields

1. Ruthenium alloys: binary alloys containing ruthenium based on rhodium. The maximum solubility of ruthenium in rhodium is more than 20%, and as-cast Vickers hardness of RhRu10 alloy is 1344. Rhodium-ruthenium alloy is melted in argon-protected high frequency induction furnace. The ingot is hot-rolled and processed in a small amount of cold. It is commonly used as a catalyst.

2. Ruthenium Resistance Paste: Glass Binder of Electrical Conductive Material (Ruthenium Dioxide, Bismuth Ruthenate, Lead Ruthenate, etc.) and Organic Carrier are the most widely used Resistance Paste. It has the advantages of wide resistance range, low resistance temperature coefficient, good repeatability of resistance value and good environmental stability. It is used to produce high performance resistance and stability. High reliability and precision resistance network .

3. Ultrafine hydrated ruthenium dioxide powder: black or blue-black ultrafine powder for thick film resistance slurry or catalyst production, in which the mass fraction of ruthenium is 60%-71%. The average particle size of the powder is less than 1.0um, the bulk density is 0.5-0.9g/cm, and the vibrating density is 1.0-1.4g/cm-3. 

4. Ruthenium-based thick film resistor slurry: a paste consisting of ruthenium dioxide powder, ruthenium salts, inorganic additives and organic carriers, which can be used for printing or coating thick film mixed integrated circuits and resistor networks. The sintering conditions of ruthenium resistance slurry are sintering peak temperature 840-860 C, holding time of peak temperature 8-10 min and sintering period 30-60 min. 

5. Ruthenium is an excellent catalyst for hydrogenation, isomerization, oxidation and reorganization. Pure metal ruthenium has few uses. It is an effective hardener for platinum and palladium. It is used to make electrical contact alloys and hard grinding cemented carbides. In 2016, George Euler, a Nobel Prize winner and professor of chemistry at the University of Southern California, led the team to use ruthenium-based catalysts for the first time to convert carbon dioxide captured from the air directly into methanol fuel with a conversion rate of 79%.
